Lately, I’ve been in a season where the doors have been flying open. Opportunities that I didn’t even have to knock for are landing right in front of me. Some days I just sit in awe—this is truly a season of favor.
But let me be clear: ALL of it comes from God. Every open door, every divine connection, every unexpected “yes”—none of it is by accident and none of it is because I’ve “figured it out.” It’s all because I’m finally walking boldly in my calling.
We’re taught from a young age to go to school, get good grades, and secure a “safe” job. And while there’s nothing wrong with stability, I’ve seen far too many people work their whole lives in roles that never lit a spark in their soul. Comfortable but unfulfilled. Busy but not purposeful.
I’m grateful that I’ve known from a young age that dance was my life’s work. And as I grow, I realize that my experience as a dancer was never just about movement—it was God preparing me to lead, to teach, and to pour into others.
Now, I get to use that experience to curate professional development in my students and help them understand that their gifts are not random—they’re assignments. The earlier they recognize that, the less time they’ll spend chasing the wrong things.
If I could give one piece of advice to this next generation, it would be this:Prioritize your relationship with God.Because when you’re connected to the Source, everything else flows. There’s no striving. No guessing. No wasted years doing meaningless busy work.
There’s peace.
There’s clarity.
There’s provision.
Walking in your purpose doesn’t mean it’s always easy—but it does mean it’s always worth it.And I’m here as living proof that when you align your gifts with God’s plan, the provision will always follow.
With grace + gratitude,
Erin B.
